movie summary: Rudy has always been told that he was too small to play college football. But he is determined to overcome the odds and fulfill his dream of playing for Notre Dame. (www.imdb.com)

my thoughts: This movie is based on the true story of Daniel E. “Rudy” Ruettiger. The plot follows Rudy as he grows up and dreams of playing college football at Notre Dame. He isn’t the biggest kid to ever put on a football jersey, but his heart is bigger then the whole team. Rudy struggles to get good grades in school and finding a place to sleep every night. After spending all his life savings, he catches a break and gets one semester at a junior college. Rudy studies hard and earns the grades he needs to gain admission to Notre Dame. After earning a spot on the practice squad, Rudy’s heart and determination shine through. He works harder than any other player on the team to get his chance at dressing for one game.

Rudy’s heart, passion, determination, and pursuit of his dream make this story worth telling. His achievements prove that anything can accomplished with work hard. Anyone looking for inspiration can watch this and realize that no matter what obsticles or people get in the way, success can be achieved. If the story or acting doesn’t inspire you, the musical score will.

Rudy is a must watch for any sports fan, and anyone who likes feel good stories.

my star rating: 9 out 10
