Last week when I was reviewing the Wolverine movie for the second time in a year, I decided to take a look back at my original posts from last July. Most of you will notice that in the beginning my reviews were short, to the point, and didn’t include any movie summaries. Somewhere along the way I developed my current writing style where I explain the whole movie while setting up my readers for an unknown ending. Reading so many different reviews from other writers made me realize I could write more then a few sentences and be proud to tell people to check out my site. Some days when I run out of time to write a review I wish I still wrote short ones like this, I still find a lot of joy writing movie recaps and defending why I liked or disliked a certain movie. In my first ever Throwback Thursday post, I thought I’d share my first review written on July 27, 2013.

When Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent launch an assault on the mob, they let the clown out of the box, the Joker, bent on turning Gotham on itself and bringing any heroes down to his level. (www.imdb.com)
The Dark Knight is my favourite movie of all time. I saw it 10 times at the theatre before it ran it’s course. This movie had everything you could ask for in a Batman/comic book/super hero story. The plot is filled with lots of action, drama, fighting, explosions, terror, and crazyness. Everything flows together and the musical score fits perfectly. Christian Bale is the best Batman, and no one will ever be able to surpass the role of Heath Ledger as the Joker. Very sad thought this movie was not nominated for Best Picture, because it was one of the best movies of 2008 and of the 2000’s. Such a great experience on the big screen and small screen.
