I enjoyed the teenage characters played Josh Wiggins, Mia Xitlali, and Dejon LaQuake. They were very funny when paired together, on top of being reckless when they would sneak away. Of course Max the dog was amazing.
What didn’t I like?
I have no clue why there was a need for a stolen arms sub plot, but it figures to be an important part of the overall story. I know why it was added, just think there was another way to get to the same conclusion.
Was Max a good story?
Max was actually a great family story about a boy and his dog.
Max the dog. I read that he is a famous actor/dog that appeared in a couple of other films. He really steals the spotlight with his emotions and reactions to the world around him. I also got to give credit to Wiggins who plays a typical teenage boy with a chip on his should who wants to take on the world.
Would I recommend it?
Yes. Max was a good movie that can be enjoyed at home on VOD or Netflix without spending $13 on movie theatre tickets.
