5/10
It is tough to remake the classics, even though we deserved a more stellar cast here. The best part of this film is how realistic it is, not everyone is going to survive. We’ve all become accustomed to a happy ending over a real one. The characters are the story, yet they also take away from the actual story. The bad guy was ruthless, which fits the time period, but Magnificent Seven is not going to top my list of favorite westerns.
Had fun with it. Which was enough for me. Nice review.
We all get those kind of movies, ones we enjoy just enough to say it was worth watching.
I thought it was a fun popcorn movie. Nothing too serious, perfect cinema fodder.
It was kinda sorta fun. Maybe I felt the need to over analyze it because I wasn’t a huge fan of who was starring in the movie.
