Oliver Stone makes good movies, usually with the intent to show you the behind the curtain of whatever subject he’s covering. In Any Given Sunday he tries to give you a glimpse into the dark side of professional football. The main cast is phenomenal, yet the story gets dragged out and forces you into watching a movie almost the length of a real football game. Although purely fictional, this movie shows how dysfunctional our favourite Sunday sport can be.
