Oliver Stone may be controversial with many of his movies, but I feel he only gets the opportunity to scratch the surface of one of the world’s greatest mysteries, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Call this a conspiracy theory movie or what ever else you want, but this is pure brilliance. Kevin Costner does his job as a New Orleans District Attorney who wants to know what everyone has wondered for years, who pulled the trigger. A young Gary Oldman steals the show here as Lee Harvey Oswald, the patsy who took the fall. I did a film study on this movie in college because I believe Oswald didn’t kill Kennedy and this film is a great discussion starting point for answers.
