A movie is sometimes only as good as the leading stars. The reason why Charlie St. Cloud is a decent movie is because Zac Efron is a believable guy to go from a hot-shot with a future to a loner who sees dead people. Of course I’m sucker for romance so I was drawn into the idea of Efron developing feelings for Amanda Crew’s character, and be willing to risk his own life to help her. There’s a small town vibe to the whole story that puts both a negative and positive spin on a dramatic search.
