Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

4/10
Snow White may be the original Disney princess and the first feature film from the animation icon, but really this film failed to live up to my expectations in 2017. A whopping 80 years have gone by since this masterpiece was released, and the only aspect I admired was how the beautiful animation has stood the test of time. This short story focused on the wrong parts, which I felt lacked the emotional punch I would have expected from such a classic tale. Moments itched into our hearts and minds are the only parts most people will remember, which overshadow the fact there is literally nothing to this story.

  1. Wow, that’s a harsh blow, lol!

To me, this film is still a masterpiece, not just for the animation, but the story, the visuals, the characters. Snow White has such a pure heart, the dwarfs are all memorable and work off each other, the Queen is deliciously evil. The songs are great.

    But to each their own.
