Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)

2/10
I’ve been a fan of Transformers since the beginning. The franchise has taken a turn for the worse over the last two installments and the latest film, The Last Knight, may in fact be the last film we see of Optimus and the gang. The reason why I say that, despite the enormous popularity of the Transformers, is because this film was complete garbage. There is seriously no story here, the acting is cringe worthy, and the explosions do nothing to help keep you invested in the film. You will be bored out of your mind, which is tough for me to say since I love Optimus Prime AND Mark Wahlberg, but I can only stand so much nonsense. I was asked what the best part of the film was and it was by far watching the movie in the D-Box motion seats. It was the only thing that got me through this really long pointless movie. The saddest part of it all has to be Sir Anthony Hopkins. How he got persuaded to take part in this role is beyond imagination, consider his acting was painful to watch. He sincerely looked like he didn’t care about the movie and his role, thus over acted causing me to remember him in more much classier roles. I get older actors/actresses still want work, but why Anthony, why? I couldn’t give this movie a 1/10 rating because of two factors, but you should know deep down in my heart as a film critic this is truly one of the year’s worse movies.
