Angels in the Outfield (1994)

I’m pretty sure at some point in my life I had already seen Angels in the Outfield. What I didn’t remember was how this movie is not as enjoyable as people make it out to be. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so young and innocent here, that he is really a lovable kid surrounded by a terrible story. The CGI angels will make you cringe, even if you have a crush on Matthew McConaughey. Danny Glover ends up a hero, but any adult (let alone a professional baseball manager) who listens to the crazy stories of a little kid who sees Angels…well in my opinion your credit ability is shot. Angels in the Outfield could have been a major success, leaving a mark in the baseball genre, but really let me down at every turn. Now that I’ve seen this again, I can honestly say I won’t bother to watch it again. 3/10
