I never thought there would be a movie that could ever get made, first by Canadians and starring Canadians, that would absolutely disgrace the game of hockey. If you can actually sit through Score: A Hockey Musical, I feel the movie company should pay you for your time. The singing is terrible, the acting is a joke, and the overall story is so stupid, that I forced myself to see this through just to say I made it. Honestly, I would love to watch the “making of feature” because it would be interesting to see who came up with this idea and actually had the courage to stand up in front of everyone and share it with them. I bet it would be hard to recover from this film, but then again they did sucker in Olivia Newton-John and Nelly Furtado. I was actually on board for about the first five minutes, and George Stroumboulopoulos’ acting almost pulled me back in. Sadly though none of the people I just mention had a prayer to save this movie and if you have never heard about Score: A Hockey Musical, do yourself a favour and forget this review and that I ever mentioned it. 1/10
