The year was 1982 and a horror franchise with a killer who murders with a machete tried to scare audiences in 3D. It was clear to me many decades later, this movie was probably terrible in 3D. Jason Voorhees didn’t need special treatment but got it anyways. After surviving a brutal attack, that would have killed an ordinary man, Jason is back to kill the stereotypes in this film. There is the beautiful damsel in distress, the idiot who tries too hard to win over a girl, the cocky head of the group who knows it all, the gang of thugs who deserve to die, and stoners who couldn’t figure out what is real or just in their mind. After all the blood has flowed into the lake yet again, only the beautiful girl survives and the legend of Jason lives on. 3/10
