Ten Stars or Less

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but for some reason the sixth installment of this epic horror franchise is my favorite. By now everyone knows Jason dies all the time, but never stays dead. Of course some idiots try a resurrection and before you know it lightning strikes and he’s on the killer path all over again. Maybe I like this movie because the cast is decent. Tommy (Thom Mathews) may be crazy, even though he is telling the truth and no one believes him. The sheriff (David Kagen) is a real jerk, but refuses to believe the folklore and is too dumb to see all the signs. Like every movie before it and after it results in one final showdown between humans and Jason. It is interesting to see how they develop new ways for his masked man to kill people. 7/10
