People find it kind of odd that I always end up loving the second movie of any franchise. Toy Story 2 is my favourite movie of the franchise because it introduces us to Bullseye and the adventures in this one are far more fun. Woody (Tom Hanks) is kidnapped and introduced to a western world he never knew he was a major part of. Buzz (Tim Allen) is gonna do everything he can to get the rest of the toys from Andy’s room across the city to save his best friend. Jessie (Joan Cusack) is a great character introduced to a great group of toys who love each other, something she hasn’t felt in a long time. Together with Bullseye and Woody, will escape a toy dealer who wants to ship them to somewhere in Asia. Whether it is the airplane chase scene at the end of the movie, or the traffic cone scene where toys cross a highway, this movie is filled with above and beyond story telling and brilliant animation. I will always prefer this movie to all the others and there is even more to enjoy if you make it through the gag reel during the credits. There are a handful of epic pop culture references, including a good chunk of the movie occurring at a toy store, led by tour guide Barbie (Jodi Benson). If you have ever wondered who Buzz’s real father is, look no further than Darth Vader clone, Evil Empire Zurg (Andrew Stanton). Toy Story 2 may have the lowest rating on IMDb, but this film is by far my favourite. 9/10
