If you read the reviews over at Roger Ebert’s website, you’d read that this film was just a reason for men to be boys but in a vulgar way. I didn’t think this movie was dirty, instead was a just very intense game of tag that was so over the top with actions and performances that you can’t help yourself but hate this film. Jeremy Renner’s scenes are the only parts worth watching and is probably the reason why this movie doesn’t hold a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Jon Hamm must be trying to save up some money because I could never envision him in such a role. The stupidity of the movie really fits the personalities of Ed Helms, Isla Fisher, Jake Johnson, and Hannibal Buress who make a living in bad comedic roles. It is seriously fascinating to know that there are a handful of people out there who play tag like this for real. Whether their story deserved a major motion picture is what the real debate is. There’s a handful of things to laugh about here, but the majority is just rather lame slap stick comedy. If you decided to sick this one and wait for Netflix, you are not missing a whole lot. 2/10
I feel bad for the guys this movie is based on cuz one of them is a Catholic Father and I’m wondering if he would go watch this R-rated film, lol!
