Ten Stars or Less

Annabelle was solid when Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) were in it and rather lacklustre when they weren’t. The whole movie would have never happened if a curious person did not go searching for keys and unlocking the demon known as Annabelle. There wasn’t a whole lot of scares and the intensity never really picked up. I still stand behind my decision that The Conjuring 2 is the best movie of this entire universe. Most of you will fall for the lame parlour tricks in this one, but real horror fans will just shrug off another movie that just doesn’t live up to the hype. 3/10
