Ten Stars or Less

The Big Hit is one of Mark Wahlberg’s early film projects. I got to admit this movie was so over the top and funny that I couldn’t stop laughing from start to finish. Whether it was the buddy who was obsessed with masturbating or the girlfriend who was okay with dead body parts in the bathtub, Wahlberg’s “innocent” charm keeps everything together. Throw in the fact he falls in love with the girl he kidnaps, the story turns into a complete disaster for him. The best parts are in the chaos. I expected this to be a terrible movie, and despite the really cheesy CGI effects, I came to love this movie and would totally watch it again someday. 7/10
