Ten Stars or Less

At first, I thought I was going to hate the back and forth storytelling. The narrative switched from present to the past and then back to the present too many times for my liking. Everything eventually came together and I liked the way the story played out. The ending capped off an entertaining movie, which I thought was really just another cookie-cutter spy movie. The saving grace here was the performance of Sasha Luss. It was truly impressive to see a small figure pull off John Wick action scenes. Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy, and Helen Mirren compliment the story that ends much differently than most spy movies. This may not be your first choice at the theater but it will definitely be worth your time if you’ve seen all the blockbusters. 7/10
