Ten Stars or Less

Hey you guys… I’ve never seen the Goonies until last week. As part of the Cineplex Flashback Film Series, I said why not finally check it out. If I had to sum up this cult classic, I would say it is typical 80’s stuff. The film checked all the boxes: comedy, action, kids, and cheesy villains to become a staple of that decade. As far as the story goes, I was into it and not into at the same time. I chuckled a few times, but in the end, I knew this story wasn’t for me. I passed by the majority of my life for a reason. However, I like Sean Astin and Josh Brolin, so I sat in amazement at how far they have come both personally and professionally. 4/10
