Ford v Ferrari (2019)

Ford v Ferrari was a thrilling ride. It was intense, amusing, and downright ruthless. The best part is you literally feel like you’re in the passenger seat as two auto superpowers vie for the same racing title in 1966.

Christian Bale always gives his all when he gets cast in a leading role, and Ford v Ferrari is no different. His acting sets him apart from anyone else in the movie. His knowledge of cars and racing is unmatched, and you could genuinely believe he was an expert.

The suits are really the main antagonists of the movie. They hate Bale’s character Miller and will do everything in their power to get him out of their car. His best friend, Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), will go to great lengths to protect his greatest asset. Shelby’s actions bring some much-needed humour to a rather serious plot.

I knew nothing about this true story, however, what happened to Miller was an absolute tragedy, that he took in stride. I lost a whole bunch of respect for the cutthroat suits at Ford. 8/10
