In 2016 I started to make a list of my favourite film franchises because most of my favourite movies are part of a series. When I first discovered Box Office Mojo, I spent a lot of time educating myself about franchises and their impact on the film industry. When I finally decided upon the Top 10 favourite franchises, I felt that so many movies were being left out, so I expanded the list to include 25 titles. It is safe to say a majority of these titles have helped shape my taste in movies since my childhood.
If you know me, either through my blog or in real life, you already know my top four favourite franchises and don’t even need to scroll down to the bottom. People often question my taste in movies, and this franchise list will further prove that I seem to have little to no love for amazing films. I may get a lot of flack for this, but I’m okay with no including such box office legends as Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Fast & Furious on this list. The only other defence I have regarding excluding these series is that sometimes you love certain movies/characters, and sometimes you don’t.
